TrackMyMoney Privacy Policy
How TrackMyMoney handles your information. In short: your financial data stays on your phone, and we never receive it.
01Who we are
TrackMyMoney is a personal finance app for tracking income, expenses, budgets, planned savings and money you lent. It is made by Aevam S. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Aevam S, and "the app" means TrackMyMoney.
02What TrackMyMoney stores, and where
Everything you enter is saved in a local database inside the app on your phone. This includes:
- transactions: amounts, dates, categories, payment methods, notes and tags
- categories, subcategories, payment methods and tags
- category budgets and spending budgets
- savings plans and their rules (these are planned amounts only; TrackMyMoney does not move or hold money)
- money lent records and repayments, including the names you type for the people involved
- settings such as your currency and theme
03On-device usage data
TrackMyMoney also keeps a few dates and counts on your phone, such as the day you first opened the app and on how many days you used it. They are used only to decide when to show the Google Play review card, are never sent anywhere and are left out of backup files.
04What we collect
Nothing. We do not run servers for TrackMyMoney and we do not receive your data.
- No account or sign in is needed.
- The app does not send your financial data to us or to anyone else.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash reporting tools, and it does not track you.
- The app works offline. It does not need an internet connection to record or show your data.
- The app does not ask for access to your contacts, text messages, location, camera or microphone, and it does not connect to your bank.
05Backups and exports you create
A file with your data is created only when you choose Export as JSON or Export as CSV in Settings. Download Sample JSON creates an example file with no personal data.
- On Android you first pick a folder to save the file in. If you skip that step, the system share sheet opens and you choose the app or place that receives the file, for example Files, Google Drive or your email app.
- Once saved or shared, the file is handled by the place or app you picked, under its own privacy terms.
- Backup and CSV files are plain, unencrypted files. Keep them somewhere safe and delete copies you no longer need.
06Importing data
Import Data reads only the file you pick. TrackMyMoney shows you what the file contains before anything changes, and nothing is imported until you confirm.
07Android device backup
TrackMyMoney currently allows Android's built in device backup. If backup is turned on for your phone in Android settings, Android may include TrackMyMoney's data in your phone's backup in your Google account, and may restore it when you set up a new phone or reinstall the app. This backup is made and stored by Google under your Google account and your settings. We cannot see or access it. You can turn it off or delete it in your phone's settings or your Google account.
08Ratings and reviews
After you have used TrackMyMoney for a while, the app may ask Google Play to show its review card so you can rate the app without leaving it. Google decides whether the card appears. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. TrackMyMoney receives no personal data from it and does not even learn whether you left a review.
09Feedback by email
If you tap Send Feedback in Settings, your email app opens with a new message to contact.vaqnova@gmail.com. The draft includes the app version and your phone's operating system version to help us look into problems; you can remove them before sending. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. We use your email address and message only to reply to you and to fix what you report. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your email with anyone.
10Deleting your data
- Settings > Reset All Data permanently deletes all your data from TrackMyMoney on that phone and brings back the starting categories and settings.
- Uninstalling TrackMyMoney removes the app and all of its data from your phone.
- Backup or CSV files you exported are not affected by either step. Delete them wherever you saved or shared them.
- A copy in your Android device backup, if any, is managed in your phone's settings or your Google account, as described above.
11Security
Your data is protected by your phone's own security, such as your screen lock. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no copy of your data on our side that could be lost or leaked.
12Children
TrackMyMoney is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not collect personal information from anyone.
13Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change affects how the app handles your data, we will also describe it in the release notes of the app update on Google Play.
